Often teachers try to make up for the difference and this is great way for the community to get involved. It may be worthwhile to consider the Adopt-A-Classroom nonprofit program which helps teachers raise money to buy books and classroom materials. Anyone in the community can adopt a classroom and 100% of the donation will go to the teacher’s classroom and it’s also tax deductible.
