Afterschool Spanish Class! Registration Deadline November 5

In the month November, we will have a new offering at George Watts: an afterschool Spanish class for students!

• Open to students currently enrolled in the afterschool care program at George Watts**

• $30/student (scholarships available)
• 6 sessions total, 4:30-5:30 pm on November 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, and 23

We must have 13 students enrolled for the class to run.  So if you are at all interested, please try it out! Note that the registration deadline is next Thursday, November 5.

** Due to the short time-frame, this month-long session is open only to students currently enrolled in the afterschool program at George Watts.  However, we plan to offer another session beginning in February 2010, open to all students.

This is a pilot project arranged through DPS’s Community Education Department (which manages the afterschool program at the school).  We hope that if this pilot project is successful, Spanish classes can become a permanent after-school activity open to all students.
